Different Difficulty Modes
it should scale back if theres a solo player. not to nerf it entirely, but the difficulty curve as a solo player is steep

JenI also like this in case you have a +1 you want to play with so you can still enjoy the game but maybe not immediately be handed your face just because you don't have a 3rd. Worth considering if it isn't a nightmare to implement!

JoshI have gotten to the boss as a 2-man, it's very doable! Like the challenge atm.

ODS GeeK AdminFor the beta, we had some hidden modifiers for adjusting difficulty based on party size, but we learned from your feedback that these need changes.
We plan to first make these hidden systems and modifiers a part of the power-up system. That way, Agents will have better visibility on how the difficulty is being adjusted based on party size.
For the closed beta, we provided 80% damage bonus for solo sessions, and none for duo sessions. Based on the gameplay data we collected during the beta, we plan to adjust the solo damage bonus to 60% and provide a 20% damage bonus to duos. We are open to making further adjustments to this as we gather more gameplay data.
We are also considering other options for adjusting difficulty, especially based on party size and previous experience. While we cannot say much at this time since we are only in the exploration stage, we hope to bring more improvements to you in the future. -

Enemy Balancing/Solo Play
I understand grouping is a core dynamic that is encouraged, but as it is now if you try to go solo for this, it's basically suicide.
One thing I did find interesting was that I was able to find, as my first upgrade on a run, a boost of like 12% to Weapons that deal Physical Damage, and that made the game actually playable. So either on solo, the scale of enemy HP should be reduced by about 10% or damage increased by the same amount.
Either that, or the base max ammo should increase for the Auto firing weapons, which are the most useful of all I've found. -

Is solo an option? I don't really play co-op/multiplayer games. I have an odd work schedule and trying to co-ordinate with people a super pain that doesn't pan out very often. So unless a game has seamless drop-in/drop-out multi, I'll just play solo, or something else.
Are there any thoughts/plans on a lower difficulty solo mode? Just in case the Internet is down or not available, or just trying to get better w/o ruining anyone else's game. -

ODS GeeK AdminWe appreciate everyone for the suggestions and feedback that they would like to see difficulty adjustments made based on party size. Our approach to this suggestion is to create a difficulty selection feature.
In terms of auto-balance, we will not be adjusting per group size. Instead, we will be providing different difficulties where Agents have a choice on how much of a challenge they'd like to take.
While co-op is highly encouraged as part of the game's design, we are also considering a multi-faceted approach that would make Blackout Protocol fun, whether Agents are matchmaking for co-op or diving in solo. -

KagenryuThe quote from ODS Geek in terms of selectable difficulty is exciting to see. Hopefully difficulties are fluid and not permalocked to progression. I would love to see many tiers of difficulty after the Easy Normal Hard tiers, like Torment levels that increase enemy spawn count, damage, HP, etc. but make it more rewarding with higher percentage of nugs, blueprints, etc. to encourage increasing difficulties as you progress (and possibly beat the game and NG+ it).

The game is played with friends, and it has reached the fourth layer at present. The difficulty of three people is very challenging and cooperative, but very interesting. However, I still hope that the difficulty of three people can be used as the high difficulty choice of the official version, because it is really difficult, and it is difficult to pass if it is matched by strangers. -

Made 3 attempts. After turning on the electricity, it is simply impossible to go further in solo))))) After that, I deleted the game. Sorry, but you can't play this solo. -

Palandus (Bone)
Similar experience here, solo.
Died at the power station.
Also, how are you supposed to actually progress in this game, if you never reach the safe room? I found two blueprints, and had a bunch of currency, but as I failed to reach a safe zone, I got zero progress.
Not really my cup of tea if this is going to be in the final game.
