Quick Msg feature
I don't mind pairing up with random players online but voice chatting with strangers is not comfortable. But this game requires some communication.
Adding a quick message chat with a mouse click or number key would be great
ex> number 1 key: Heal me, number 2 key: Wait, etc

BrandonI would love to be able to tell people "Thanks for the game, I have to go~" Right now the only way to end a session is quit the game. Feels so rude lol.

JenYes! Was coming here to recommend the same. Menu options are preferable to a chat system where users can just type anything (easy for people to take advantage of, annoying to moderate).

ODS GeeK AdminWe plan to add additional communication options beside voice chat by Early Access. To share some possible ideas (which may change in the future): we are considering chat or quick chat functionality, potentially utilizing speech bubbles above the characters. We are exploring different options in order to create a seamless and immersive experience as much as possible, ideally tied to how in-game dialogues are presented to agents. We hope to be able to share more updates in the future!

ODS GeeK AdminWe added both the ping and the quick chat features in our CB2 build, and plan to make further improvements once we get feedback.

JenI liked the ability to send quick messages in the most recent beta, though sometimes I found it clunky and would choose an unintended option from the wheel. I would like to see a "heal me!" option. I felt some of the options weren't as helpful. Also "My bad!" didn't really communicate what I wanted to when I was hoping for an "I'm sorry!"
That said, people can get extremely spammy with a function like this (I've seen this a TON in Marvel SNAP for example) so the ability to squelch a player would be great to add. Ideally a context-sensitive menu (alt + click on player to bring up volume adjusts and quick chat squelch) would be the best way to handle. I'd be curious to see the telemetry of what messages get used most in a game like this!
As Brandon mentioned last beta, it'd be lovely to have a way to say "Thanks for the game!" or "One more?" Perhaps a different set of options out by the cars versus inside? -
